The 2021 MOBO Music Awards took place on December 5 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, in the form of an extravagant live show. Last year’s awards were held virtually, with hosts Chunkz and Maya Jama, and performances from Headie One, Ms. Banks and Kojey Radical. Performances from the 2021 ceremony included Bree Runway, Pa Salieu, Ghetts, Tems and ENNY. With nominations presented by Henrie Kwushue, the awards – hosted by Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Munya Chawawa – saw newcomer Central Cee leading the charge with his wins for Best Newcomer and Best Drill Act, alongside Best international number and the best African music number: Wizkid.

Little Simz deservedly won Best Female Act, with Ghetts earning their first-ever Best Male Act MOBO.
