Jason Aldean amazes with a trio of hits at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Jason Aldean brought a rock performance to the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2022 Tuesday, March 22.
The country superstar and Georgia native performed a trio of songs, including “Dirt Road Anthem,” his weeks-long hit, “If I Didn’t Love You,” and his latest single, “Trouble With A Heartbreak.”

Following her performance, Aldean received the iHeartRadio award for Country Song of the Year for her chart-topping collaboration with Carrie Underwood, “If I Didn’t Love You”.
iHeartRadio’s reigning Best New Country Artist and Aldean’s label mate Lainey Wilson was on hand to present the award to the George native. The country superstar accepted the trophy from Wilson and shared a heartfelt speech.
“Thank you guys, a big thank you to [Carrie Underwood] and his team at Universal,” Aldean said, thanking his collaborator, who was not present to accept the honor with him as she is currently in the middle of her residency in Las Vegas.
He then thanked his Broken Bow/BMG team, family, friends, iHeartRadio stations as well as his four children and wife, Brittany Aldean.
“Thank you so much to my team for working on this song and making it such a great song for us this year,” Aldean continued. “All the iHeart stations that played this song, thank you so much guys. The fans, my family, my wife… Who we just celebrated our seventh birthday yesterday, love you baby. My kids, Keeley, Kendyl, Memphis, Navy home, love you guys. My producer, Michael Knox, who made an amazing record on this song. Thank you so much and it’s been a huge year. Fans, thank you, I love you guys.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards also featured performances from Aldean, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Aldean, John Legend, Charlie Puth and Maneskin.
In addition to the performances, the 2-hour awards show included a star-studded list of special appearances from Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic, Lil Nas X, Billy Porter, The Kid LAROI, David Guetta, Avril Lavigne, Shaun White, All Time Low, Willow Smith, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Gina Torres, Oliver Hudson, Taylor Momsen, Lainey Wilson, Dove Cameron, Danica McKellar and more.
iHeartRadio Music Awards 2022 airs Tuesday, March 22 at 8/7 a.m. on FOX Network.
The event was also broadcast on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide as well as the iHeartRadio app.
